Welcome To 10Mile Farms Vertical
Farming Solution

10 MILE FARMS’ indoor vertical farming systems yield eight times more produce per square foot than traditional hydroponic greenhouses and twenty time more than today’s commercial farms.

That’s because fruits, vegetables, and herbs grown in a 10 MILE FARMS’ modularized G-CUBE chamber can be harvested many more times more often each year than with other forms of farming.

The system was developed by a team of horticulture and business professionals who share a commitment to the creation and expansion of futuristic controlled environment agriculture in urban areas and food deserts.

Why Vertical Farming?

Vertical farming is an agricultural technique involving large-scale, stacked, indoor agriculture in urban areas. While many people fantasize about the construction of towering “farmscrapers” spiking up in the center of our cities’ financial districts, economic factors such as high real-estate, construction, energy, and employment costs make vertical farming more practical in underutilized or vacant commercial structures in suburban areas on the outskirts of our major cities. This is also our vision.

Save Resources

Less water. eliminate runoff, no removal of topsoil, recycle resources, increase food safety while reducing impact. Generate energy on site, slash fossil fuel use.

Year-round Crop Production

One indoor acre produces exponentially more fruit, vegetables, and herbs than an outdoor acre, depending upon the crop.

Bigger Yields

Vertical farmers can produce thirty times as many strawberries in a vertical farm than they can by growing on a conventional outdoor farm.

Sustainability

No topsoil is lost in a vertical farm, and vertical farms use 90 percent less water than conventional farms.

1Who We Are

10 MILE FARMS’ indoor vertical farming systems yield eight times more produce per square foot than traditional hydroponic greenhouses and twenty time more than today’s commercial farms. That’s because fruits, vegetables, and herbs grown in a 10 MILE FARMS’ modularized G-CUBE chamber can be harvested many more times more often each year than with other forms of farming. The system was developed by a team of horticulture and business professionals who share a commitment to the creation and expansion of futuristic controlled environment agriculture in urban areas and food deserts.

2What We Do
10 MILE FARMS vertical farming systems offer communities a way to grow their own foods locally and safely in empty or underutilized buildings. The revolutionary solution creates technical jobs in the communities that benefit from the high quality, pesticide- and herbicide-free produce that is grown year-round. This eliminates reliance on unskilled labor, favorable weather, and abundant fresh, clean water.
3Why We Do It
The food industry is challenged by growing public outrage over our faulty food supply chain and economic, political, and regulatory instability. At the same time, climate change, topsoil depletion, contamination of our soil and water supplies, and the proliferation of genetically-modified fruits and vegetables are taking their toll on the earth and the quality of the produce that ends up in our neighborhood grocery stores and homes. 10 MILE FARMS' business model focuses on growing the healthiest food available profitably, so that we can attract and reward investors who help communities benefit from their local neighborhood vertical farm.
